If it’s June, this must be Nairobi. For the seventh year, the Africa Teacher Foundation held its institute at the International School of Kenya from June 14 to June 25, 2013.
This year there were one hundred three teachers who received certificates. Between the institutes and the permanent center’s work, over one thousand teachers have been trained.
The foundation worked in medical clinics and in schools in rural areas near the Maasai Mara. The teachers at the institute also had training directly related to health issues often found in East Africa.
The work continues in Kiisi, Kisumu, and Nairobi, Kenya in 2013 and 2014.. The focus remains empowering East African teachers and students one teacher at a time.
